JOY ICHIE DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Dr Joy Ichie is a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed to practice in the States of Texas, Iowa and Arizona. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Briar Cliff University in Iowa. She has over ten years of psychiatric and mental health care experience in different psychiatric settings. She has a passion for improving the mental health of her patients and is specifically trained to evaluate, diagnose and treat variety of psychiatric conditions from childhood to old age.
Dr Ichie has a passion for education and learning. She is a Graduate Nursing Clinical Education Specialist at the University of Texas at Arlington and enjoys precepting and mentoring new nurses and colleagues.
Outside of work, Dr Ichie enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.
